First off I would like to say that I have NEVER had a green thumb. I have always loved the IDEA of having a lot of plants in the house but in my last house they never seemed to last very long. I will blog about my living plants later (I am much better at taking care of them now--it took me having a dog and a kid to figure it out I guess) but I want to share with y'all a great, inexpensive Ikea project that requires ZERO skill and no green thumb.
I found these at Ikea not too long ago. They intrigued me, I carried them around the store, and they made it home with me. I had a plan but I wasn't quite sure how everything would work out.
Just a basic, white, almost greenhouse looking piece. Naturally I bought two--I believe they were a little under $20 each. When I got them home I took the plastic "windows" off and sprayed them a matte black. Once they dried I put some faux plants in them and slapped them on the walls and I was done--talk about an easy button. They are a great wall piece that adds dimension without breaking the bank--how great is that??
